Department of Religious Studies

Department of Religious Studies was established within the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation sciences (USWR) in 1992. This department is located in USWR in the northern part of Tehran, Iran.

Department of religious studies is active in teaching theoretical and religious subjects and also intensely involved with different counseling and cultural program.

What is Religious Studies?

Department of Religious Studies is responsible for teaching religious and social subjects to students of different departments. The Department does not administer any student yet and it plays an interconnection role between other departments.

Our academics are experienced and are keeping an up to date knowledge. Conducting cultural and religious activities and teaching are the main priorities of this department.

Aims

The vision here in the department of religious studies is to train students in the highest level of knowledge to work in our society as part of a health care team.

Toward achieving the aforementioned aim, our academic staff works incredibly hard to provide excellent research and dynamic education. Throughout this aim we work in collaboration with other universities at national and with well-known universities international level.

Teaching

Based on a fully integrated curriculum that combines self-directed learning opportunities with high quality lectures and tutorials we teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.

We ensure your professionalism and confident practice by delivering the best training from the beginning of your course till the last day of your study. The students have access to the comprehensive advanced study and clinical training and teaching, library and recreation facilities of the only rehabilitation university in the region.

Research

The department of Religious Studies has an internationally recognized research program in different areas such as the effect of religion in families and interpreting holy Quran.

A number of academics and administrative staff are the cornerstone in our departmental operations. They provide support for students and the program.
